Nakclean Clarifiers are widely used for continuous mechanical removal of settleable solids from wastewater. These clarifiers may be supported by either bridge or center columns. In a center feed design, the wastewater is carried to the center of the tank where it enters a circular well designed to distribute the flow equally in all directions. The sludge removal mechanism slowly revolves and may have two or four arms equipped with scrapers. The drive unit can be central or peripheral and can also be manufactured with a half/full scrapping arm. Additionally, they can be equipped with a scum removal system. Apart from conventional clarifiers, high-rate clarifiers with parallel plate separators and tube settlers are also available.

The central drive mechanism of the bridge is supported by a full-diameter structure. The scraper frames are attached to the drive shaft that is connected to the central gear.
